Default Turbo Scion TC: 3" Downpipe/38mm Dumptube fab

This customers car was previously boosted on a log manifold. He purchased a topmount manifold online but wanted to run a 3" downpipe instead of the 2 1/4 that was offered with the mani. He also wanted to retain his A/C for those HOT Florida summers (which didnt make this any easier ).

Here is how the car came in:

Now time for disassembly and clean up:

After the header was disassembled it was then time to install the mani that was provided.

We also needed to lengthen the oil return with the new mani so we replaced all fittings and hose as well.

Then it came time to measure and see how much room we had to work with (about 3.5" ):

Then I started tacking things together to make sure fitment was perfect.

After verifying that everything was clear of meltable A/C lines, fans, and water neck. I went ahead with final welds. We also added inline a 3" SS flexpipe.

Finally, we went ahead and heat wrapped everything for safety and lower underhood temps

The car will return Monday for the dumptube
