Are you serious? I guess because this is your shop forum, you still don't feel like you should receive constructive criticism here? I am pretty sure potential clients (including myself) would respect shit like that... I dunno just saying

 

Its out of respect...We constantly try to improve our quality of work just as every other shop does.

This individual works for a competing company in this industry. We would NEVER go to his or other shops' forums and knock/give constructive criticism about his/their work.

He could've easily sent a PM.

 

Sorry, yea I guess I kinda didnt know about the part where he worked for another shop.. Most of the work I seen look good to me, will remember you guys if I ever need anything done

Constructive is the key part here. There's no bashing unless you make it into that. Just relax.

 

seriously?! where the hell has THIS ever been said... if it has, it sure as hell wasnt from the employees themselves.. we're the ones that do the work!

theres no competition here, either, so everyone needs to just settle down. sheesh. i try and help with a little advice, and this is the response i get? theres nothing wrong with other shops critique-ing work. it helps the industry as a whole bc everyone is striving to outdo the other. ultimately, the customer benefits... stick around more than a couple years and you'll see. ive been doing this stuff since 1999... ive seen what can happen when shops help each other out.

maybe next time, instead of getting defensive, try listening to those who have been around alot longer than you have. you MIGHT just learn something worthwhile.

 

Look taylor this wasnt a shot at you and if i wanted to throw dirt i could but i dont wanna get people involved who dont wanna be. we have all been around long and to say you have been doing this longer than i how would you know that? i was putting b17's in civics and DA's since 1995 and more serious stuff as time went on. please dont take it to heart i agree with your advice but your boss has made hurtfull comments b4 about proven power. you just might not be aware of this thats all. i to have been a hard working employee who was getting fucked by what my bosses loose mouth were saying.
