Went down this morning to start getting it ready to go on the rotissorie..... Removed the rear end housing and took out the driver side leaf spring with no issues..... Then the problem comes, the front bolt in the pass side spring is aparrently rusted in the sleeve in the spring bushing..... I got the sleeve to sping in the bushing and managed to get the nut off the bolt, but I can't get the bolt out because it's rusted in the sleeve..... Looks like I am going to have to cut the bolt to get it out, oh happy day..... I did get the rear shackle off the spring so I'll get the can on the rotissorie and turn it on it's side where it will be easier to get at.....
After that adventure, I some pieces of material to adapt the rotissorie..... Next weekend I should be able to get it mounted and start working on the bottom side.....
No pic's today cause there just wasn't really anything to take one of.....

Car looks like it is going to be super solid. What do you have in store for the interior beside the 2 buckets?

I got the stuck leaf spring bolt out this morning, went pretty well..... I cut the spring eye open then splint the shell on the bushing and removed it, after that I removed the rubber from the inner sleeve..... Then I was able to put a little heat on the sleeve and was able to get the bolt out without damaging the bolt or any part of the spring mounting area.....
After that I just started scraping off all the heavier grease and sh!t that built up on the underside over the years.....
Not really any thing worth taking a pic of today ao I didn't bother.....

A little more progress this morning..... Cleaned up and welded up some seams on the pass underside floor area..... Then disc sanded the pass underside from the top of the tunnel to the rocker panel and from the base of the firewall to the rear shock crossmember..... Still need a little more minor clean up with a wire wheel, but I am going to get the driver underside looking the same first.....
Here's the pic's.....

I finally got a little work done at the shop this weekend..... Sat I installed a new air line along the wall along with a nice water seperator/filter, I was tired of plugging directly into the side of the compressor and dragging air hoses all over the place..... Now I have 4 drops along the side wall of my shop which should make things much easier, plus no more fighting with getting water in the line..... I also tore down a C4 trans for a side job I have, got to fund this project somehow.....
After a little clean up Sun morn I finally got back on the car a little..... I cut some rusty seams out of the pass rear fenderwell area at the front and rear where the outer and inner fenderwell panels come together.....
Here is the front seam before I cut it out.....

Here is the same seam after cutting away the unwanted area and cleaning it out, there was alot of loose rust between the gap in the opening here.....
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...bber/00440.jpg
This is the same seam after welding it closed and initial clean up, still a little more to do here.....

Here is the seam in the rear of the opening which is actually where the outer wheel house and inner trunk drop come together.....
