Here are some photos of the roof replacement....I have taken off the roof skin in anticipation of cutting off at the posts....it will be a matter of welding on another roof.....measure three times and weld on once the right time

Update:
got the new rust free entire cowl in today....came from a contact who I have out in CA and only took 3 days...greyhound rules and only cost me $80...anyway every ford owner of the falcon and mustang of '65 is familiar with the famous cowl rot issue...mine was real bad and I needed additional metal to the door hinges...I am happy with it and thankful to find one since they don't repro cowl replacement patches...they have to be fabbed on your own if you use the '65 mustang ones...the only thing that I will need to do still will be to take off the upper cowl spot welds and undercoat the lower cowl with rust proof por15 and repaint since ford wasn't brilliant in thinking of that

Well I ended up tackling the dreaded spot weld removal on the new cowl piece...ended up getting about 75% of the way through before my 3/8" spot weld cutter dulled out...will end up going to Harbor Freight to pick up another one tomorrow (they only cost $4.99)

yesterday finished up the cowl donor piece....ended up only removing the cowl hats as they had pinholes in them...best just to fix it right the first time....anyway nice to work with rust free CA metal

Thats quite the project you have. I know what you mean about the spot weld cutters crapping out. Run them to slow and they'll catch and break a tooth off. Too fast and the teeth will burn. I replaced both door jams (where hinges bolt) on my 86' coupe by cutting both sides out of a junkyard car and then peeling both sets apart after drilling all the spot welds out.

I have started to work on the replacement torque boxes.....ended up drilling out the 20+ spot welds on the driver's side and took off the outer torque box....started and got through about 3/4 of the other torque box before my spot weld cutter broke

finished up cutting out the spot welds on the torque boxes....ps was a little bit of a pain in the rear but everything came out ok....now just need to rust proof them properly and they can go back on in the future...have pics but it won't let me download as I have exceeded the memory
