Well I definetly hit a gold mine for parts.....I talked to someone who was selling a '61 2 dr wagon and he told me about a guy who had a '64 wagon that he was parting out....got a chance to talk to him and he said he has all of the metal panels I need for my project (cowl, quarters, torque boxes, roof)....wants to work out a package deal with me and as long as the pics tell the story sounds like it will be a slam dunk!

Attention: to anyone who has any older fords (edsel, galaxie, falcon, etc) I found a yard in York,PA that has numerous cars in their yard....they plan on crushing them this coming year after May...their phone # 717-846-3944 and the yard is called Baughman's auto...the story is they have 3 yards full of older fords and others and plan on cutting down on the inventory...if you want to check out some pics go onto LOVEfords - Ford Mercury Edsel Lincoln Articles, Data, Pictures, and Information and go under "out to pasture" forum

Wagons are starting to get the attention that they deserve and not as grocery getters....they are actually rarer than most people think and can be modded with good stuff or used for surf boards

I had a 2 door 56 chevy that ran high 13s back in the 70s. A lot of wagons showed up in the 60-70s as super stockers since the weight distribution was much better than a coupe, and if you had a sedan-delivery, the weight wasn't much difference either.

Here's a few old school pics

That's great! I love the square Falcons. More work than I'd want to get into though.
