Default school me on 3.8s

I just picked up a 96 stripper mustang with a 3.8 v6. Horsepower is not a big advantage in autocrossing, but it would be nice to have some extra. The idea behind the v6 is lighter front end weight, and an engine that is a little bit farther back than the v8.
So what are some cheap mods?

I would say the regular bolt ons... Intake, headers, exhaust.

I'd say a V8 Swap would be the way to go

I know the 3.8 is a pooch, but the fact is, in autocrossing 200hp is as good as 600hp

Best mod I did to my V6 I had an intake, pullies, and exhaust. Just keep in mind, V6s dont need an H/X crossover. The firing order is even and it sounds better without it. I even put a 75 dry shot to it and would keep up with stock 5.0
