Thanks John, still undecided, but I dont want to be taking it apart for that shit either!

It is a 3". To use it I need to change the flange on it to a on center flange. I may be getting the B & G hot side, coated with a 3.5" down pipe and a bigger wastegate. I have a 35mm Evolution now and I dont think it will be big enough. It comes with the correct flange also.

The turbo is a T-series HP76 compressor, ceramic ball bearing, F1-68 turbine wheel with a tangential undivided .81 A/R housing. Basically a T76 with an F1-68 turbine wheel.

That set up should be good for 1000 CHP of air on that motor. I have AFR 185's and will re-use my Cartech upper/Saleen ported lower intake and likely my current Comps Cam. It is a XE264HR, has 114 deg lobe seperation and with 1.7's the lift is in the .544 range. It has great manners and pulls awesome with the Novi until you lift. I have a Eagle 4340 crank and am getting the H beam 2000's.

Pistons are my big question now. What is a good compression for this motor? My heads are 58 cc's and have had a light cut, so with the Mahle's I was going to get, that would put me in the 9.5:1 range. That may be to high for this boost/power level! I have an almost new set of SRP low comps in that 306. They would put me in the mid to high 8's for comporession and that may be the way to go here!

That intercooler is going to be fun to mount! Oh, and I am keeping the AC! That should make this even more fun!

The a/c will fit fine with both kits.

I would shoot for 9-9.5:1 anything lower and you won't like the way it runs off boost.

That looks like the same intercooler we had and we had to cut our lx bumper cover, i wasn't real happy with that.

Well the Novi is off and sold. The car is back to N/A and man what a difference that thing made to the car. It takes alot longer to wind out now and is no where near as fast, but you can tell alot of weight is off the nose of the car.

The Boss shortbolk is the next thing in the works, then the turbo build starts.

Looking at a B & G hot side with a bigger wastegate, use the 76 mm Turbonectis and the Treadsone cold side.

I have been sorely tempted to use the 306 shortblock, I have been trying to sell, with the full Treadsone kit, as is. Then when the Boss longblock is done. Get the B & G hot side and put it together once and for all. Kind of use the 306 for the "turbo learning curve"

I just dont want to be pulling engines over and over. (getting a little old to be doing this on a regular basis) but I do have the shortblock and I keep saying , why not? Put it together and boost it till it blows!

What is wrong with the engine in it now? If it handled the Novi, hit it with the turbo.

It is still a great engine. But it is the orginal 131K shortblock. It needs at least a rear main seal and likely oil pan gaskets, hell it still has the orginal oil pump.

It has P heads and I doubt the turbo headers will fit them. Besides I have a set of 185's I want to run with the turbo and the stock pistons wont clear the bigger valves.
