Picked this up awhile ago and have been trying to sell off some parts to finance its build.

Only 35k on the car. There is a nasty 347 being built for it and a built C4 waiting for me in my garage. Have a mustang k-member cleaned up already and am looking for an 8.8, preferably already built but I'd settle for a stock 4 lug disc brake rear as a place to start. Soon as I sell a few bits she will get through the floor connectors and some torque box bracing. WTF am I going to do with a 35k mile straight 6 and C4 combo with a 1 barrel carb?
One thing I love on this car, with a cast iron 6 and A/C it weighs 2700 lbs, goal is to have it 2600 lbs with the 347 in it and have 500 to the tire NA and leave it looking like a grandma car. Time will tell how close I can get to these goals.

Nice project, I had a 79 fairmont back in 84 with a 351 windsor when I was stationed at FT BRAGG N.C. Incase anyone was wondering that pic is from the fayetteville drag strip I ran 12.9 in the quarter with a slightly worked motor car weighted about 2800lbs. with the windsor..Car started out a 4 cyl.

What is not fun on futuras is finding decent parts, took me a month to find a clean tailight lens and two headlight bezels. Was it a fox I could have had parts inside of a day. Made a little progress, got an 8.8 rear today, just need to sell off a few parts so I can build the heck out of the 8.8 and get some team Z adjustable control arms.

That car will make great sleeper in that color. Not sure if this will be any help to you, but there were two fairmonts in cophers on 40th street when I was there yesterday. Neither was a futura though, if I remember correctly. good luck on the build.
Got lucky the last few days, scored the tail light and the headlight bezels I needed and picked up an 8.8 rear yesterday. Soon as a few more parts sell I will order me up some nice axles, full spool (unless a detroit locker falls out of the sky), and some 4.10 gears.
