i currently have 7.8:1 cr
im rebuilding my motor now
i wanna up it to .20mm over 95 pistons which would raise it to 8.5:1
no according to cronic id gain like 5hp but loose 14hp in boost due to the CR
explain how boost is better than static CR
and what sounds better?
id think the higher CR would create less lag
thanks

Im not going to any further into this becouse i dont even know what kind of car you have.
The more air+fuel you cram into your motor, the more power you make.
When you reduce the boost you can run by upping the CR, that may help you before you hit boost but once you are boosting it will hurt you.
Less boost = less air and fuel = less power

Slightly Lower compression will allow more power on pump gas due to the ammount of boost that you could run with it as well as timming. Lag, Who cares about that crap step on the gas and if thats not enough hit the 50 shot of N20 to wake it up and get that low compression beast out of the whole.

Good Luck sounds to be like a monster.

I have 8.5 to 1 compression with 95 pistons in my 1g. The spool up time is AWESOME. I have never seen any other car spool up so quickly. but I also have a 2g mas and many other supporting mods. If you have the fuel and air to add...do it.
