Default Project GS (Go Slow)

I have an Acura Integra GS....I am going turbo with it but I need some help...I have the turbo on a cnc flange, FMIC, and down pipe...I have already decided to buy the Greddy Type S BOV and I am getting the missing link...What I am having problems on is the FMU...I am being told a few different things from people...1. I am being told to get something like an MSD FMU or a Vortech FMU which read your vaccum and raise the fuel pressure...2. I am being told to buy an Apexi Super AFC and that I can tune the fuel curve w/ that...Don't exactly understand how that works if someone does know please expalin this to me...The third is buy a hondata system which is just about out of the question at over a grand...Please give me some input on what I should do I am trying to make my car as reliable as possible...Thanx in advance for the help...

....im partial to the S-AFC, ive used it and it has faired well with me and good for in-car tuning on the fly aswell. your going to need a few more things to your setup as well, like injectors and fuel pump along with some other stuff. The AFC richens or leans out your fuel...another option is an Apexi AVC-R, somewhat like the s-afc, but little more complicated, expensive, and gives you more flexibility in tuning IMO.

WTF??? S-afc = fuel... AVC-R = boost... Fuck both of them and buy Haltech E11 or SDS... the cost of the SAFC and AVC-R will run you almost 900 dollars and limit you due to the fact that AFC is piggyback tuning.. Get full engine management and play by your own rules..

Alright so it looks as if I am going with Something like a Hondata or AEM EMS...What are your opinons on which systems are better and why? Also factor in the ability to have these systems worked on and tuned locally because well I am local...Oh and price..trying to find a good price also...

hondata is a good investment if u plan on keeping your car for a while. mines not even tuned yet and it runs 1000% times better than with those stupid piggybacks. go with hondata and give john(vapor) a few hours to tune it and youll be happy. dont waste your money money on the FMU, missing link, afc, etc. spend a little axtra the fist time and save on the money it costs to rebuild a motor. trust me i know from multiple experiences. its not fun not having a car and rebuilding the fuckin thing over an over again because of detonation. save your money and get hondata
