Default wastegate stays open with profec B???

ever since ive gotten the profec b my wastegate has been staying open under high amounts of vacuum(12-25) and at idle. and for some reason my car is not holding power up top either. boost falls off about 2 psi from full boost(4k-5k) to redline(8k) and the torque falls off even more at about 50-60ft/lbs from 5500-8000rpm. my car always used to hold boost all the way thru redline before the profec b and now it doesnt. there are no leaks in the intercooler piping or vacuum lines(i pressure tested everything) and the turbo its plenty big enough. another thing i noticed is with the profec b turned off there is still vacuum in the line between the black solenoid box and the wastegate, i dont know if thats normal. ive tested practically everything and cant figure out why my car isnt making power up top. i think it has something to do with the profec b but im not sure. oh and the settings on the back of the profec b are correct. any ideas????

Have you double checked to make sure it is wired and ported correctly?

If you know how to properly troubleshoot the system something like the following would be handy to verify that it is working correctly (though a pressure source and regulator would be needed to give you the right test pressures)

this is a common thing with profec b's for some reason.. they stay open at vacuum and then shut at boost and reopen when full boost is achieved to stabilize....

the other thing too, is to check the dip switches in the back of the unit and make sure you have them set to the proper setting. there are different settings for internal and external wastegates
