nos questions

ok heres the deal as of right now i im running a nos direct dry shot on a 1.5 crx dx.the kit im using now was on my freinds 1.6 hatch and he was runnning a 50 shot when we switched it to my rex it seems like it dosent have nearly as much get up an go the jet # was a 22. when i went to fisher buggies the other day for some diffent jets while the guy was lookin them up he said something about #22 jet on a 1.6 efi car is like a 50 shot but a #22 jet on a carberated aplication it would be diffrent hp shot. could the reason be that my car isint all that fast with a 50 be caused to the dxs poor fuel injection.would the low hp be caused due to the nirous an fuel mixing sooner on a dx than like on a mpfi honda. any info will help. thanks

could be tuning problems----if you car isnt tuned righ you could be losing half of that shot---which would kick it down to a 25 shot---what do you have your fuel pressure at and what do you mean by direct dry shot----do you mean a dry shot?

yeah i mean a dry shot as for fuel im running a stock fuel system. i was talkin to a few people and they said if the power dies off at higher rpms bump the timing back 2deg. and they also said something like look at the exhaust manifold and see if its red hot whats the deal with that? thanks

I would check several things...

What octane do you run? 93 is needed.

Pull the plugs look for detonation you might need to retard timing if you see the signs...

Bottle pressure low?

These are a few things I would check...

i use 93 octaneand i retarded the timing 2 deg. as for my plugs they are lookin a little white. can you buy colder plug at any auto parts store or do you have to get like the zex plugs ect..
another thing is my friend thats running nitrous on a 1.8 let me barrow his 50 jet and it ran pretty good. well when i went to buy myself a jet the guys looked it up and said that a #22 is a 50 shot on my aplication well the 22 was much smaller than the one i barrowed from my boy. nos jets a fawkin confusing. so what i have now done is drilled my jet out to the same size as the one that my friend let me hold (#34). im gonna be at 1320 tonight so if anyone that has some pretty good knowlage of nos is going please say whats up then i could explain alot easier in person then on a message boad. thanks for the info peace

if u running too lean the temperature of the explosions raise higher than hell
if its so get a bigger or another fuel pump fuel rail lines and injectors...trust me if u run too lean and too hot ..soon u will be looking for another engine

no doubt thaks man but i dont have to worry about it know being that i wont be driving my car any time soon cause my parents didint really apreciate the letter i got in the mail saying my lisense is suspended indefinitaly till i pay about 900 bucks in tickets . PEACE
