Open exhaust gave me 8 tenths and 5 mph!!!

I unbolted my exhaust at my down pipe to see what it would do at the track the difference was amazing!!! before i pulled 14.2@98.7mph the very next week on a warmer night with open exhaust I ran 13.44@103mph! I have Greddy power extreme 2 1/2 now but after this I ordered 3 Apex N1. I still cant believe my car is that fast!

congrats...oh..and if you just want a straight thru muffler and are a baller on a budget..lol...get a 3 walker ultra-flow....i have one...its good stuff

Going from 2 1/2 to 3 on a Turbo DSM on Buschurs Dyno has shown as much as 80 HP.

Yep nothing like opening the exhaust on a turbo car to make it fly! 86-91 RX-7 TIIs pick up about 65hp from a full 3 exhaust alone.... the only problem is that it lets it boost a bit more causing fuel cut problems and a lean condition. Also if the wastegate isnt big enough it may run into boost control problems (from too much flow). You might want to re-tune your car now just to make sure it still has a good a/f ratio and watch your boost..
