CMR Turbo. You drop it off and he will get you right. His name is Charlie 813-978-8872. He's located between z-hills and tampa.

Absolutely! Garrett considers their DBB turbo's as Non-Rebuildable... basically throw aways.
They use specific tools to build the turbos and do not sell replacement parts... short of the entire cartridge.

It's not like a non BB set-up where you just pop the inpeller off and on... they are balanced as well...

I know others know more than I... hopefully they will jump in and add value.

I am always up for learning more.

and back to the topic.... Are there any places local that have experience with DBB turbo repairs?

call that number and see if he will rebuild it. He balances his turbo rebuilds. If all you need is a comressor wheel then I don't see the problem. BTW: You CAN upgrade the compressor wheel if you want to from like a .57 trim to .60 trim or whatev. You get the idear.

If you just need a wheel, he can replace that for you. He perfers that you ship him the turbo, he's not really a people person anymore. He is still the best turbo man around who's in business. I wouldn't take them to any other shop.
Who is "he"?
