Honestly, anyone using those "ebay" turbos?
Just curious. If you are how long and have they self destructed yet?

OK, after a bit of searching I found this. Thought I would post it for anyone thinking of going the "cheap" route.

I helped install an ebay 57trim . The turbo started to whine just free revving the car. Tryed to drive it but it would only get 2 lbs of boost. Major shaft play was found. Blades rubbing housing. Sent it back for a new one. The second one lasted a little longer. It didn't whine on free rev but started to whine while trying to drive the car 5 minutes later.
I think these china made turbos where made with no intention of actually using them.
