heatwrapping intercooler piping??

heatwrapping intercooler piping??

anyone with a FMIC ever wrap there piping with heatwrap. thought about doing all my piping. anyone have some insight or tried this? worth all the trouble and time?

thanks for any input

I'll let you know shortly. I need to do mine. Ever since I built a new header and downpipe the underhood temps are through the roof.

I also thought about doing this in my SE-R. The way I see it is if it will keep the engine temp out and cooled air in then it has to be somewhat of a help. It definately wont hurt the car. I would probably do it.

Ive been thinking of doing this for a while ...But heatwrap is not cheap...And I am ..So I want to make sure it works before I try it..Jamie

Heat wrap is great. Especially for downpipes. Keeps most of the heat away from your oil pan. After a 26lb dyno pull on a member's car here I was able to touch the downpipe and still have my skin

luckily my dp isnt near or go under the oil pan.
