Turbo Questions: Plumbing
What if any losses would result in utilizing a rubber hose for such a large section of the up-pipe versus standard aluminum plumbing?
What if any flow losses would be realized with the number turns and bends in the charge tube?
Below is a pic of my current configuration.
I just got the kit back from the fabricator and was surprised to see that big ole Blue Rubber Tube

One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

the only downside to using rubber (that I know of) for pipe is under high boost pressures it may swell and over a long period of time with extreme heat then cooling then heating it may deteriorate like coolant hoses do. That is an odd tube, it appears to transitions from one size to another, it reminds me of a two stroke expansion chamber how it is skinny then get fat, then skinny again. I say hmmmmm.

That tube is made of silicone so it won't be affected by heat or pressure. Honestly, with the twists and turns, and the size changes, you're far better off going with silicone over aluminum. Even if it were possible to fab and fit with aluminum, the fab time would be more expensive than the hose. It looks like they are making that hose for that app. Most apps have rubber couplers at some point to fasten piping together, yours is just a bit longer. But for that app, its perfect. Its not like you'll miss that extra 2hp if there WAS a difference.
should be alright I have a big elbow coupler like that coming off my turbo and it holds up I think for your setup should be alright just keep checking it cause it does swell enormously so you dont want to be swelling and rubbing anything cause they wear holes quick.
