After a year at 18psi, and a few weeks at 23psi, I finally put a BEEEEE OOOOOOO VEEEEEEE on the Mustang.
I put a used HKS SSQV on. I like the sound, but I like the sound of compressor surge better
even though it wasn't very good for the turbo
. The BOV is actually louder because of the higher pitch. You can still hear the compressor surge a bit at light throttle, but under full throttle, all you hear is the HKS.

i wanna get rid of my type S flange but i dont want it to look all jacked up when its done, i would LOVE to use an SSQV

Recirculate it! Hah, I don't think the HKS's can be recirculated, though I don't know for sure since I've never had any interest in aftermarket bov's. Turbododge modded 1g dsm bov should do just fine for most people, holds 30+ psi and really cheap to boot.

I think with some fab work, the HKS could be made to recirculate, but I doubt its worth the effort.

I'm not going to say that the 1g is the ultimate bov that should have a place in every turbo engine bay, it's just a cheap bov that will do the job for most people. There are other factors, like appearance in your case, sound, umm, bling factor (different from appearance). And no, I wouldn't put out the extra effort to recirculate a bov with no provisions for it, especially if your car has no problems with venting. It's just another annoying noise on cars that already make many annoying noises.
hmm ,hks can recirc with a kit they sell
you dont need to fab anything short of your prestanding I/C piping and intake piping pre-turbo of course, they have a universal SSQV recirc kit

thought the SSQV was 50/50 vent/recirc?
eh no matter, i want a turbo xs RFL...i wonder how it would sound with a blower though...like if it would be blowing off the entire friggin time.
