propane injection
You can run a "wet" nitrous kit with propane just like you would with gas. But instead of getting fuel off the fule rail you would do just like you did. Plumb the fuel noid up to the propane bottle. Its becoming more and more popular.
I think you were on the right track with a few exceptions.
#1...you should have gone to a dyno that had a wideband 02 sensor so you could read your correct AF.
#2 you can tune your AF by using the proper size jet setup. You were correct to go rich at first. But you should have scaled back the size of the propane (fuel) jet as needed till you got the desired Af ratio of...say....12.0 to1. The fuel/nitrous jets called out for in the instruction manual will not be accurate when using propane.
From there you could have extrapolated the correct fuel and nitrous jets for what size HP shots.
All in all this is an EXCELLENT way to boost HP on cars that dont have any room for extra HP due to a weak fuel system. Also with the high octane you will be able to spray more hp before detonation occurs or timing retard is needed.

I did scale back on the fuel jet, but that engine is out right now.I'm swapping in a carb engine. I'm gonna put a spot on the headers so I can get AF reading's. The O2 sensor that the dyno uses is the same size as a stock one, right? I'm gonna do this the right way on what im building right now
There is a guy here in Ocala that has been doing propane nitrous setups on Vipers and he has got it to a science. Ill have to find his website and post it. I thought propane octane was more like 130+ , like 132 or so. Maybe have mistaken.
That sounds pretty sweet,I dont know about the octane of 130 though. I'm going to try it on a '89 350 this time and see how far I can push it. I'm going to do every thing the same as last time, except im going to add two propane bottle's, and take it too a dyno and tune it. Supposedly more propane can be used than gas for a richer mixture without sacrificing power.I hope to get this project wrapped up by the end of next month.Safe nitrous
