Default Mounting the Nitrous bottle Question?

I have heard and read that the best way to mount the nitrous bottle is with the top of the bottle facing the engine and the bottom of the bottle facing to the rear of the car. Now, is there anything wrong with mounting it behind the drivers seat?

there is nothing wrong with that, just make sure the bottle is tilted at 45 degrees (the knob facing the driver's seat) so that the pick up tube for the nitrous is in the proper place.

cool, yea the bottle is mounted on its stands which is about 45 degrees. but the reason i really ask is because every time after either i use the nitrous or just open the bottle there is always air coming out when i purge first and then the second time i purge is when nitrous comes out. i dont know how air is getting in the system. Can you think of any thing? Another thing is that the line running to the pressure gauge is about 3 feet long. Can that be the problem?

its unlikely air is getting in the system. Nitrous under pressure will be in liquid form....but there will always be a certain amount that will "boil off" and stay gas. Wether its in the lines or in the bottle itself. Thats why you have a purge in the first place...and as you see the nitrous guys at the track....purge on every run. Gas will build up in the lines...but its ok...its nitrous oxide gas.

but when i purge i hold it down for at least 5 seconds and only air or no white cloud of nitrous comes out, then i let go and purge again then thats when i see the white cloud of nitrous. but its always like this.

its not bad, its just expanded nitrous in the line and isnt as cold/dense as it was in the bottle. as for the 45° thing, i dunno, i never really had any noticeable difference in how it was setup, i just kept the knob side of the bottle up a little more then the bottom. i know a fast car around town who has his bottle sitting straight up last i looked but no, it doesnt matter if the bottl faces the front or the rear. and no nothing wrong with it behind the drivers seat...hell mine sat in the passenger seat strapped in with me in a cute little duffel bag

the idea behind the bottle setup like that is that the momentium from a launch will push the liquid to the suck straw not really a big difference.. dont worry you want it to have a nice angle though cuz the suck straw is at a angle and u want to "pool" the nitrious where its sucking it.
