Default kenne bell twin screw

anyone seen this unit on a stang yet, ive heard lots of good things about this, apparently MM&FF tested a nearly stock 01' GT and made 507rwhp at @14psi. i was considering this for my mod motor to put me well over my 500rwhp goal. the kit sells for 3799.00 w/o intercooler and sells for 4899.00 with intercooler. just curious if anyone has experience with kennebell products? also is this thing gonna sound like the eaton chargers or even better the blowzilla 03' cobra they had a video of with 600rwhp?

a kenne bell twin screw supercharger is able to make more boost and are much more efficient than any roots style eaton will ever be. I've never personally seen one on a mustage, but its a better supercharger than the new cobras come with. It's more like the supercharger thats on the new gt40.

The only cars that has ever had a twin screw supercharger from the factory are the new gt40, the new mercedes supercar thing and the mazda millenia S - which is a crazy efficient miller cycle engine. Almost all supercharged cars use a eaton roots blower.
Jackson racing is simply an eaton supercharger kit.

I have a supercharger from a mazda millenia that I'm planning on installing on my car...

a twinscrew without a intercooler can be better than a roots with an intercooler. You can imagine how good a intercooled twinscrew will be!

Wait a minute, if a Twin screw is NOT a roots, then what the hell is the difference? I know the centrifugal looks like "half" a turbo, and is belt driven also, but I'm not seeing this!?

i'm gonna have to agree with 722ish on this one. an Eaton Roots blower IS a twin screw design. hers a quick run down on compressor types.

Reciprocating: the pistons in your engine

Centrifugal : Turbos and Vortech/paxton blowers

Screw : Eaton, kenne Bell, Weiand (they have to be double screw to work)

scroll : Volkswagen G Charger.

So...lets attemt this topic again without in-accurate distractions.

Sorry guys, but your wrong. The eaton has twists to it, but it is not a twinscrew. the twists are simply so the flow of air is continuous and for less noise. they look simular but work totally different. Currious? look here:

http://www.lysholm.se/en/prod_eng.asp Lysholm has full patens on the twinscrew supercharger, thats their web site.

http://www.kennebell.net/techinfo/ge...romcatalog.pdf - thats a pdf file compairing the roots vs. the twinscrew.
