pressure drop question
hey guys, i got my FMIC in and the pressure dropped, i wwas wondering if the pressure will continue to drop because of winter coming and the air being so dense, or will the boost increase because the initial air going into the turbo will be denser?

Well, the IC is a restriction, so that will limit boost. There is also a theory that since the air after the IC is cooler, and thus denser, it will show as a pressure drop as well. I'm sure both play a part in the gauge reading, but if your wastegate is referenced at the intake, you should ALWAYS see the same boost reading regardless of conditions (of course unless you're turbo is "maxed out")
oh i forgot, the HRC kit came with a 5 psi wastegate actuator..................i have a 9 psi WA that i havent put in yet, would that solve my problem.

You can make more power with a cooler charge, than a hotter charge. Just because your PSI went lower, doesn't mean that you are making less power. But seeing as you are now running a larger FMIC you can turn the boost up higher without overheating the charge temp..Its all just a heat game...
