Turbo or Supercharger?
Turbo or Supercharger?
Which will give more horsepower, a turbo or a supercharger??? Im thinking more of the supercharger do to constant power but I want the one that is gunna make me win in the long run....
funny enough, it all depends on the setup... obviously, both systems set up properly will make horsepower, and plenty of it, but it all depends on what you want to do...
i am partial to turbocharging, but a supercharger kit is probably available for an S10 (a la your info there)

Anyway, at a given boost level, a turbo will make more HP than a supercharger. Period. Now if you get a positive displacement supercharger setup, you may make torque sooner than the turbo, but for HP, turbo is king. And its GREAT to be the king
this topic has been discussed before a few times. Personally I like turbos. I dont needs some type of forced induction robbing power that is not needed to be lost.
There is a nice post that flubyux2 did in this thread describing the differences.

I would say, look around and do some research. Find out what others have done with both turbos and superchargers and make your pick.
