it might create more boost since there is no exhaust restriction, i'm not positive though.

it wont "create more boost" but it will free up your exhaust a bit....although i recommend getting a test pipe to REPLACE your catalytic converter instead of just yankign it and gutting it...get a test pipe, through your cat in the garage some where just incase you might need/want it down the road for some odd reason.

why don't you just go open down pipe and not even waste your time with the cat

With my testpipe, I noticed:

1. faster spool up
2. more power on mid-top end
3. lower EGT's

Bad thing is that it stinks, and i had once a scare when 2 cops in a bike was sitting right behind me on traffic, smelling all that crap

my cat is attached to my down pipe,I ran it open this weekend and saw a difference even though the exaust was still going though my cat...I guess i could just replace the cat with a pipe, and later if i needed i could replace the cat...Allso there is a sensor in my cat if its remove will my car still run good....Thanks

is there an O2 sensor mounted in or after the cat or not? if there is, and you remove the cat, your ECU is more than likely gonna throw a CEL and possibly put you in limp mode.
