im going to go ahead and buy this soon, do i need to do anything if my 99 gst and wanted to know do i need any additional parts like a flange? also what is the purpose? why do companies need to sell this for like an extra 30-60 bucks?

I much perfer the greddy type S
or anything else I'm familar with. IMO, the type s sounds great on just about any car.

The install kit is just a flange that allows you to use the bov on your car. If you're still using a stock dsm intercooler pipe than the flange would adapt from the slip fit of the second gen bov to the flange of any bov that requires a flange, such as a Greddy or HKS or Blitz.... If you get a new pipe than you will only need the generic flange. :o
