i Have a holset hy35 for sale. $250

 

do you mean HX35, More information man. number of compressor blades, exhaust blades, is it a T4? twin scroll? ram V band? pictures say 1000 words

 

I believe hx35 came in the manual dodge trucks and have divided turbine housing...this is off an automatic 02 dodge diesel cummings....

Its got 7 blades on the compressor housing and 12 on the turbine. Its a 4" Vband down pipe. I also took a pic of the part number, Ive searched and its came up with hy not hx.

It was pulled at 68k miles for a bigger one and its still in perfect conditions.

Id be interested if it wasn't internally gated, possibly able to cut off the flange. but not sure I need to do more research on this style holset

 

This is the pre HX i believe (as in HY was the original, and was then followed by an updated HX series). Lots of people have run them with good results, atleast on the 7's. I even contemplated using this turbo. Good price for a good piece. GLWS man

 

you can simply remove the wastegate

 

^^^^^^ and weld the flapper shut btw

 

I've heard of that before and I've completely taken off the flapper door on my stock turbo (rx7) divided the turbine wheel and the hole where the flapper door used to be at then mounted and external wastegate (tial 38mm) on the flange that goes before the downpipe. It works great with no problems.
