Anyone taking pictures at IFO this year?
Just wondering if anyone is "covering" this event.
I saw the thread from the 2011 event. lots of pictures in that one.
Hoping someone with more skills than me with my point and shoot was going.

Pretty sure I saw you there..... but we were walking out the gate (stupid jobs interrupting a good time...) would have stopped and said hey, but we were already 20 minutes late leaving.
It was either you, or someone else in a blue TR shirt.

It was me.. I had a camera and backpack.. No one else wore theirs.

yeah, it looked like you were hanging up a TR sign on that front gate. We had just left, and looked over our shoulders real quick as we walked away.
as a side note... what do you think about - https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/n...240sx-run.html

seen a lot of people caring around tripods to shoot the car show ..... i really don't get why u need a tripod to take a pic of a wheel
i saw a guy setting up a tripod and blocking the walk way to take a pic of a wheel on a RSX .. then another guy setting up a tripod to take a pic of a intake or something in the engine bay... i can understand the people setup with a mono pod to photo the cars racing on the strip
if u cant adjust ur settings to not use a tripod in normal daylight at a car show u need to find a new hobby
I didn't get the whole tripod thing either.. Not in that lighting condition.. Maybe for perfect framing, for those who don't have steady hands???

^^ I didn't bring my tripod to this event, but I have in the past at similar events. If you're close to your subject, shooting at a very wide aperture [generally below f/2.8], and want to make sure you nail the focus, I would recommend a tripod in any lighting condition. If you or your camera accidentally moves in any direction just half a centimeter before you press the shutter button, your subject will most likely be out of focus.
