Taking a helicopter ride, what lens should I rent?
The company I work for wants to get some aerial shots of the plant so they're going to rent a helicopter and send me up to get some photos. Problem is all I have is my Nikon 18-70 so I need to rent some glass. From what I've read I'm thinking the Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR might be a good choice but I'd like to get your thoughts on the subject. Also if anyone has any tips/pointers for aerial photos please let me know, thanks!

70-200 would be a good grab all depends on how high you are flying but you shouldn't have any issues with it. Only time I have done aerial was for my honeymoon we took a helicopter ride. Its pretty easy I wouldn't shoot slower than 1/250.

Went ahead and told my boss to rent the 70-200 and asked him to let me have a day or two before we do the shoot so I can use the lens a bit and get used to it. I hope they send out a clean one cause I want to take some product shots of it lol.
