Default Anyone ever have this problem

After I bought my d3000 I bought 2 sandisk 4gb sdhc cards for the camera. I formated one to the camera and took some pics all is good. But when I put it in my computer the computer wont recognize it. Until I restart it, if I restart the computer it will come right up then take it out put it back in and nothing again. Running win vista 32bit. Now my wifes comuter running win 7 will pull it right up no problem.
Any ideas? just getting tired of restarting my computer to load pics.

Get Windows 7 , but in all seriousness check your usb/card drivers for updates or try reformatting the card while plugged into the computer.

I did try formating the card with the computer too but nothing. Is there a big difference between an sd and a sdhc card?

I believe SDHC cards are 4 or more gigs and a class 4 card. I would do as suggested and be sure your drivers for you card reader are up to date. You could always connect your camera via usb to your computer and transfer that way.

You have your answer in your question, your running Vista.
