Default Need suggestions for the Air Show this weekend

Dobbins Airforce Base is holding their annual air show this weekend. Blue Angels and all!

I've got my D90 and 70-300mm VR, however there is a rental place literally 5 mins from my house, and I thought about getting a second D90 and another lens so I didn't have to switch between lenses all day.

My thoughts were to either go with something totally fun and unique like the 10.5mm, but I would assume I could have some fun with a nice wide-angle as well. I'll have the 18-55 in my bag just because it's a "fail safe" if you will.

One of my questions though is for the 70-300, will it be more helpful to have a CPL filter, or a UV filter? I know there will most likely be haze/waves at good distances and bright sun.

Thoughts, suggestions??

Thanks,
Toby

CPL sure. UV filters to me are just lens glass protectors ha They help a little but I'm partial to them.

I'd say get something like a 10-20, 12-24, etc, if you want a wide lens.

Other than that you should be fine.

Ok, I'm probably going to pick up the CPL tonight.

I figured if I could get a nice wide-angle it would be fun for the interior shots of the planes and some nice shots outside of them. I'm hoping this brings me out of the bit of the funk I'm in with photography lately.
