New Camera playing around
Got a Sony Alpha A-300 K DSLR. Me and my boyfriend have been taking a few pictures. Only taken a few shots. Tips would be great as we are new to the SLR cameras.

Christina, not bad for some first shots however here is some advice...
-Try not to cut off parts of your subject. For example your last photo, the babies foot.
-Lower ISO to avoid a lot of grain/noise in your photos
-Night shots seem to be difficult when holding the camera. The camera will run at a very low shutter speed which is more prone to camera shake and causing image blur like is seen in the Civic picture. If your really into taking night photos then I'd recommend a tripod and set the self-timer on the camera. Not sure if Sony offers a wireless remote or a corded remote which then you don't need to use the self-timer.
-Continue to take more pictures, mess around with the camera settings. You'll eventually learn what each one does and what you should use for some given scenarios/situations. Keep in mind you can take about 100 photos of one subject and maybe only keep a handful.
