Was down at the track on thursday to check it out.. And found out its not that much complete. So came back today and it just doesn't seem they want to race this weekend.

Usually atleast 75% of the track is done..but it seemed Much less.

I hear from some friends in Indy that a few teams rolled out of the shop today.

 

damn thats REALLY late. Since by now most of the teams are here.

Makes me wonder if the new CEO had something to do with everything.

 

I'm new here in St Pete and would like to know where is the best area to be to take some good photos of the cars? How close can you get to the wall barriers? I'm assuming you need at least the general admission or can you just walk to it?

 

Thats what I thought too, this guy used to work at Vision so he knows what to look for lol.

IRL teams are hurting, some worse than others and some wont let it be public but they're hurting.

 

GA ticket only gets you in to the race. Does not get you in to the pits. You will have to deal with the crowd fence and main fence. Unless you find a spot where your shooting over or thru a photo hole.(won't know where they are till track is open. Poss know tomorrow as I am picking up my creds in the am)




Really not surprised. I heard they had a shit load of trouble in brazil last weekend with track setup. Also on the news they said they started construction 6weeks ago...I highly doubt that's possible.


And the new ceo not know one thing about open wheel racing....yea sounds like champ car.

 

GA admission on friday I recall you can sit anywhere in any bleachers. And I really hope it rains honestly.
