If you are looking for car editing type in something like "car photoshop" portraits type in "portrait photoshop" if you are looking to learn a certain style like vintage type in "vintage photoshop" also google can help you find tons of tutorials online to help.

Just look through the pages, you can find some interesting stuff. I've been using Photoshop since 7.0 came out, which was back in 2004 I believe haha. It's all about trial and error.

Another little word of advice is, really get a feel for your cameras settings. I don't know what camera you have, but even if it's a point and shoot I know several of them have lots of settings. By playing with them you can learn what different settings will do to the picture. I learned a lot playing with the ISO and white balance on my Sony point and shoot, which then helped me with my SLR camera.
