So i opted to redesign spybots logo. A company that i really have admired for so long. They produce a great Anti spyware product, and a heap of other services. For free.

So, i offered to redesign their logo, which was in much need of help. For free.

To make a long story short, they declined.


Here is their logo, which appears both in the software, and on the site.

So, like was stated, i figured i was doing a good deed. BUT, was declined of my services. Why? You tell me...

Its probably so they can legally protect themselves.

Don't worry, in a few years they'll nab that logo you made and use it. Just like I originally came up with spider-man legos when I was like 10. I even drew up pictures of characters and different blocks and everything, they wrote me back saying something about they're research department or something can't accept submissions, something etc...

Now they have spider-man legos, and I'm still broke. wtf

I feel like you got a little butt hurt and had to go blog about it. No need to, as your logo speaks for itself. It was no doubt better than theirs and has a very clean high end feel to it. I'm sure they will come around. Sometimes people get all suspicious when someone is offering them something good for free.

What you need to do is prove you own the rights to the logo, then put your logo on the product and show the difference. Bitch of it is, they'll have to actually redesign the program to add the logo...

That'll be the only way you can get them to take the logo other wise you are a liability to the company to get sued.
