Wanted to do some quick reading on them and found this:
YOu better be nice to this thing! They take some work! Check out the cages and accessories they have on this site too!: http://exoticpets.about.com/gi/o.htm...sperwheels.htm
Self Anointing
* Hedgehogs have a remarkable habit called "self-anointing" which can be somewhat startling the first time an owner sees it happening. Particular smells seem to send the hedgehog into a flurry contortions as it starts to salivate profusely and spread the saliva over its back. No one is entirely sure why hedgehogs do this and some seem more prone to it than others, but it is not a cause for concern.

yea idk why they do that but he kept doing it yesterday. and hes still on the natural nocternal sleep schedual so we are considering trying to gradually change his sleep schedual so that hes not running his wheel all night anymore. haha he seriously ran all night.
and michael, i gotta go get mealworms this weekend but the lady gave me a pretty big cage. ive got a few shoe boxes laying around, thinking about makings some kind of play thing with them.
as for hunting they like to run around outside and will often find little bugs and shit and eat them.
go to youtube and search hedgehog swimming. its hilarious.

or Bob by the looks of how one of the hedgies liked to "swim" haha
things are pretty epic. I'd get one but not sure how it'd work with my school schedules and stuff. probably not terrible as I'd be gone all day while it slept then be awake by time I get home
