Nikon Question??? D3000
I just got a Nikon D3000 with the 18-55 Nikkor Lense, which is the new replacement for the D60.
How do the Nikons Hold Up?
Should I get the 4 year full replacement warranty?

They are quality made. I don't feel that Nikon holds up any better or worse than Canon or vice versa, it is pretty much how you treat it. Manufacturer errors would show within the first year and i would imagine you would still be covered through just general warranty you get from the manufacturer anyway. It never hurts to have an extended warranty, it is more like you are purchasing peace of mind. So really it is your call.
I know that the Nikon is good, that is why I bought it, I am scared of my wear and tear on it..
I think the pease of mind is what I want and I could accidently break it at 3 yrs and 11 months then be SOL...
I used to run a 35mm Besler Topcon 35+ Yrs old and a champ (old school & Bad Ass).. I wanted to get back in to shooting, but I didn't want the film expense...

I have a Nikon D40 and i bought the extended warranty from Ritz just in case and I might be using it soon since my auto focus seems to be a bit off but really the thing you get from the warranty is being able to relax with your camera.
Like I don't think I'd have a problem with doing something risky to get a great shot because I know that if something happens to the camera I'm completely covered (well except for fire o_O ) but if I didnt have the warranty I would tend to stay away from situations like that.
How much extra would the extended warranty cost?

$150 for 4 years, covers everything including: annual cleanings, tunings, adjustmenst, check ups & full replacement on lense & body..
I am thinking that the peice of mind is worth it...
Camera was $599 I got it for $470 with lense.
I gotta get a case, big zoom, wide angle, lense shade, flash, and remote trigger.
Want to play with some actual filters too.
I have been having alot of fun so far, I will have to post up some pics...
