Well, it's up for sale, haha. She broke up with me today... $3k already invested as non-refundable deposits for the wedding. $5k invested on a purposeless ring. Damn, what a waste!

Anyone have any experience selling an engagement ring? I know I need to get it appraised first... But then what? eBay? Craiglist? Pawn shop?

No to the pawn shop, I can tell you that. You'll get about 20% of what you paid.
Your best bet is get it appraised, have something in writing and either ebay or craigs list
