Has Nikon come out with an adapter...(or anyone) that will allow a AF lens with out a built in motor to be used on a d60?
I have an awesome Tamron 75-300mm AF Tele-Macro lens but I want to use it on my D60 with the Auto Focus. If not I will just deal with it being a manual lens.

Well its not that its an adapter thats needed, the D40/x/60 don't have motors in the camera to autofocus the older lenses, that is why the ones that do auto focus on these cameras are AFS lenses with the motor in the lens. Older lenses that would autofocus required the motor to be in the camera itself to focus the lens. The only way i see this possible is if there were something that would go onto the camera before the lens that would talk to the camera and have a motor built into that to control the lens, but not only would they probably have to upgrade firmware but it would change the focal lengths of any lens you used. I don't see it happening anytime soon. I have a few older lenses that i manual focus and i dont mind at all. I like my autofocus when doing shoots but just to have fun with and shoot different things in my personal time, i dont mind manual focusing.
never gonna happen. Need to upgrade your camera or buy lenses with built in motors.
