Default Next Weekend: Offshore Boat Racing!

Down in Clearwater. I wanna go SO badly. Anyone have a boat so we can get some good pics?

I have a boat, but there's no way it would keep up with anything like that sort of boat.

Thats fine. all we gotta do it anchor with everyone else right next to the course

I didnt quite understand their map on the site but take a look at it and see where we could park it and set up shop. I'll bring a cooler full of beer and what not!

whatcha mean? thats the total distance of the race, they're up to 15 laps, at about 5.5 miles per lap. so the actual spread of the course is only about 2 miles or so...

60 miles to get the boat to Clearwater Beach and 60 miles to get it back.

At my parents house, so I'd have to take it under the Skyway and go all the way back up to Clearwater Beach. Didn't realize how far it as until I looked.

Of course it would make it, I'm just not interested in taking the boat for a 120 mile trip.
