I know these shots require quick reations, but the uneven horizons take away from the pictures quite a bit.
Also, the subject could be emphisized more by a different angle.
On the positive side, the color is absolutely awesome, beautiful contrast. the last pic is a tad bright but its still not bad. The horizon in pic 3 in really good too.

also yes i know the angle isnt the best but its my first time shooting skateboarding so ill work on it. i didnt like the angle much either but i wanted to catch him landing it
ohh and shot them with a nikon d60 with kit lens
definitely needed to get much closer! cant be afraid to get in the action with the camera!
and I explained to you the horizon thing. Making/keeping it level, use that ruler tool, then rotate image "arbitrary" and then crop out the white corners. or draw out the crop, then use the arrow at the corn when it's curved and you can rotate it that way.

Get closer and watch the background, like the tree for example, it kinda pulls focus away from the skater.

Im not telling you EVERY PIC HAS TO BE PERFECT!!! lol sometimes you may even want this effect. It all depends on the subject and your preference.
And the angle this inst too big a deal either, its all preference. In this situation I would have centered the skateboarder over the blue sky or in front of the buildings walls for an awesome contrast and to keep the focus on him rather then the large tree behind him, or the bright car.
Before I get called out, it is all up to you, you take the pictures the way you want them, but these are just some smaller details to help you out.
