WELL the 28 would be dreamy! lol but yeah, thats almost as much as what i'd sell my car for HA
we'll see what I can maybe do for the 105. Great for portraits too so it'd get a lot of usage. Can I see some pics of/from it?

Noooo- This is the AI-S version. (Hence my comment that your D300 will meter with it- Nothing digital below a D200 will meter an AI/AI-S lens.) The AF-S version is like 3x as much used.
Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8 from Nikon
I have had all three 105/2.8 micro Nikkors by the way and this one is far and away my favorite. The AF-S VR and the AF-D Non-VR both focus hunt enough to drive a person insane- as does the Sigma 150/2.8 Macro. This one is specially geared for fine tuned manual focus which most macro work demands anyway.

the pics look great from it. i just switched up a few lenses for my wide-mid range so i cant really do another 300 just yet :/
