FS: 2 Nikon Lenses
I doubt it is the same one the nikon 50mm 1.4g is almost $500
why spend that much extra on the g? is the SWM really that important?
i was thinking about picking up one of these until i saw the specs on the Nikon 35mm 1.8 that just came out. so i ordered one of those. I might snag a 50mm somewhere down the line too.

yeah the 35 1.8 is what we need for the crop sensors! If all youre wanting is the bokeh then photoshop it lol

the low light capabilities are more important to me lol. and the crispness that you cant get in a kit lens.
The af is alot better on the new 1.4g, it's more spot on than the older version. Iq is a little better as well, also has the silent focus motor for more body options, hence the reason the older 1.4's are selling for dirt right now
I know the low light capability is good and all, I have the 50 1.8. But all in all, the speed difference between the 1.8 and 1.4 isnt a WHOLE lot. I know with the canon 1.4 its just simply built a hell of a lot better than the 1.8 so I can see where its better overall and worth the price difference. The Nikon 1.4 really isnt built a whole lot differently and is nearly identical, it just comes down to the bokeh factor I think, being more "natural" as has been mentioned.
Guess I'll throw these on CL if I don't get any interest next week
If I was worried about "taking it out from under him" then I wouldn't of posted that. There's a bit of a difference when he shoots Nikon and I shoot Canon.
