I just picked up the Nikon P80..it takes pretty cool pics but i see many who are advanced in here. Is it really a good cam to start out with?

Ive been a Photoshop man for ever. Making flyers, Cd covers...etc . We all know photography and PS go hand in hand and i always wanted to get into the other end of it. So again, is this cam a good one to start with?

 

its a great cam but theres alwaiys better camara, get good with that one first before spending more money on another one... post some pics up later

 

thanks man..Yea its ok but sucks in low lighted areas...but i think ima let the wife have this and charge something better

 

just make sure you get something you know what to do with but g/l with w/e you get post some pics keep updated always looking foward to seeing new work

 

Get a XSi or D60.

Save a few hundred dollars and get a used SLR (ie. Nikon D50, Canon XT) for $300. Buying the latest and greatest isn't going to improve your photography.
