Default Another amature photographer looking for tips

I started taking photos a couple months ago and I recently bought a decent camera ( Panasonic Lumix FZ28 ) and really started trying to learn as much as I could online.

I have a bunch of sample pics so you can see what I can do so far but any tips or help would be great.

Unfortunately with the way my work schedule is I'm kinda stuck doing night shots and I think I could really use some help there. I would also like to learn how to do some of the sick car shots I see around here. Thanks for any help.

sadly enough the only thing thats gonna set them off is a better camera i know the FZ28 is an advanced point and shoot but its still a point and shoot. The clwtr bridge pic looks good though

Yea I knew that I would be limited by not getting an SLR but I wanted to start off slow (and cheap) and learn as much as I could and then if I was still enjoying taking photos in a year or so I would drop around $600 on a better one.

I guess the best thing to do would be to just experiment and take tons of photos but it's always good to get tips from the pros . I really want to try the panning thing...
