Well not that much. I have other hobbies to take of. Im looking for a beginners camera. One that i can play with for a few months and learn to use then i will be able to get a more professional one. Maybe even buy a used one but what do i look for? Brand, specs or features?

That looks like it might do the job. I noticed that the new ones are in the $500 and up area but i found some used ones on ebay. Anything i should watch out for if i buy it used?

When your buying used your taking a risk. I bought my S3IS off eBay used from a pawn shop in Arizona. I lucked out and the camera has been nothing but perfect, no problems what so ever. But there are people who get a complete piece of crap. One thing I looked for was a photo of the actual camera switched on so I could verify that it at least worked. Also buy from a well-known source with good feedback. The pawn shop I bought from didn't have that many sales, but no feedbacks were negative so I took the chance.

I still have my S3IS sitting around if your interested.

How much do you want for it? And question, how do they work? Do they used memory cards, internal memory, plug to computer? Is it like any other digital camera?

I picked up my XTi used off ebay for like 400 shipped with any extra battery, a extreme III 4gig memory card, and all the stuff it comes with even in the original box. the thing looked brand new just had one small flaw in the color on the bottom that iwouldnt have ever noticed if he didnt mention it in the description. it has worked great.

I would give you the 4GB card which can store thousands of photos lol. I forget the exact amount but it is definitely in the thousands.

I'll send you a PM with info on the camera so I don't clutter this thread.
