Video is a novelty. It's like a car that can go in the water: fun for a while, but ultimately pretty useless for anything other than showing off.

Making videos is more fun than photography.

Obviously you're not doing it right.

Ok, I have a Canon... lol. I am most certainly doing it right.

Download Vegas and get a nice HD video camera... so much more fun lol. If I had the spare change I would pickup a video camera and focus more of my time+effort on it than my XSi. I rarely use my XSi, I still question if it was worth it to this day.

^Says the guy who went Canon!

I would like the video feature if it autofocused. It would give the D90 a 2:1 thingy. . .

OP: Are you looking to get the D90? If I were you, I would buy it and be aware of the return policy of where you get it from. If you don't like it take it back. If you seem to be playing with it a lot keep it!

No no no no, I am perfectly happy with the camera. I am talking about in general if it was a good investment. I don't seem to be using it as much as I thought. First week or two I got it, I couldn't put it down. Now I'm too lazy to take it out of the bag, put the battery in, etc... LOL. Then again I haven't had much time to mess with it lately.

+1,000,000,000 (or the Federal buyout, whichever is larger)

Photography is the same way, it's a novelty. It's for showing off. They're the same thing, except one is moving frames. Both give the challenge of trying to get the most captivating shot you can get for something specific. Video has a more broader range of ideas, since it is endless with editing.

Ok, so you're saying editing still frames isn't endless? This could go on and on forever, we'll just have to agree that you're wrong and I'm right.
