They look decent. Not sure how much better you're going to get to be honest. You might try PTLens to get rid of some of the distortion - I work for a construction company and my boss always gets upset when I take pictures of our work that are distorted around the edges. Makes it look like you can't keep a straight line. Notice how the fish tank part looks straight near the floor (in the first pic) but curved to the right at the top...

What does your Dad do, millwork?

if youre going back, id try standing to the left more if you can, make a triangulation between the tank (with the flat front facing you) and the woodwork to the right of the desk....if that makes any sense....and no glare on the tank! and i like looking at the floor more than the ceiling.
