Yes, It's here. (New Glass)
After waiting all day and bitching and complaining and basically searching for the holy grail between the warehouse and the trucks (long story), it finally fucking arrived. I've never had UPS knock on my door at 9:30pm before, but I didn't care today.
This is my first piece of L Glass, and I must say I'm very impressed. The build quality of the lens is absolutely immaculate. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Unfortunately they decided to deliver my f/4 lens at 9:30 in the pm, so I didn't have any good available light outside . I took some test shots around teh kitchen. Sorry, about the grain, I forgot that I had the camera on iso 1600.
I seriously feel like a kid on christmas morning. I almost ran to the door when I heard the knock.
Hopefully you guys know the feeling, or else I'll just feel like a tool. haha

I'll be taking it tomorrow to shoot around the neighborhood, then meet up with Steve and his teggy to take some real shots!! I can't freaking wait. Tranceologist and myself sat in my garage for a couple hours shooting the shit waiting for this damn UPS truck.

I don't really need IS, nor is it worth another $600 on top of what I paid. If I had that much to spend on just a lens, I would have gone with the f/2.8 IS

Thanks man, can't believe I've already been bitten by the L Glass bug... I haven't even bought another nifty fifty yet . Next pickup will probably be a newer camera body, or maybe a UWA lens...
