Well I had nothing better to do & since I'm trying to buy some new lenses I was thinking might as well take a pic in the mean time.

 

Very nice, I like the colors the out of focus areas are quite smooth. Flowers have never been my thing, I just don't have an eye for composition with those things.

 

Thanks Chris, I've been wanting to buy some Zoom lenses but I've been looking online & the prices are a bit high. I'm not going to be cheap or anything but I am thinking of buying some used lenes before I start buying anything new since I've only ever used the 18-24 so I want to try and explore a little before I spend the big bucks, any ideas?

 

18-24? I think you might have mistyped that, seems like a really limited focal range. If it's 18-55, you might want to try a 70-300. They're not optically superb, but it will give you a lot more range than what you're using now. Another thing you might consider is the Canon 50mm f/1.8 which is ~$100.
