looking to get the xti where would u guys recommend getting it from...im trying for asap but looking for who has the best deal around anyone know who has the best deal going on for it... trying to stay away from the internet inless its a legit site n i can have it soon...where would u guys recommend...

 

i 2nd spoolin's question. also has anyone used the kit lens you can get with the xti? or would it be a better idea to buy just the body and then a different lens; if not the kit lens what other would yall suggest?

I think I bought mine from 47th Street Photo (late last year). I had it overnighted, with batteries, and memory, and it was still cheaper than the "black Friday" sales locally. No issues.

I got mine from Circuit City for less than $700 (kit.) last one too, got two year insurance, meaning i can run over the camera and play football with it and I can still get it replaced. Taxes and all around $9xx. The kit lense is pretty good IMO. For starters. Once you get the hang of it you're going to want to move up into a better one.
